Guildmaster of Serengwynt

intelligent | ambitious | inventive

Originally from Starfall Isles, Freye started off as a student studying arcane magic at the Astrolodome. Her guardians(as she had no parents) wanted her to reach the high ranks of the Arcanist and serve him, but this wasn't truly Freye's dream. She had always enjoyed inventing, and as she got older this desire only grew to help create tools and small machines for dragonkind. While she did enjoy arcane magic itself, working for the Arcanist, as much as she respected him, wasn't something she truly wanted to do with her life.

She was torn at first, feeling as though she was abandoning her loyalty to the Arcanist and to her guardians. Upon telling them how she felt about it, they were very angry and rejected her dream. After threatening to kick her out of their home if she didn't do what they wanted, Freye decided to leave anyway. She was growing tired of the Starfall Isles anyway, and wanted to see the rest of Sornieth for herself.

And so, the place she fell in love with was the home of the Windsinger. She loved how much more relaxed the dragons were here, how they just spent their days carefree. She also loved the amazing kite designs high up in the Cloudsong. There was so much to be inspired by here, and so she decided this is where she would get her fresh start.

As she spent time brainstorming on what she would invent, she had gotten to know other dragons here. A large chunk of the population were creative types. Some loved to paint, others were blacksmiths. Quite a few made pottery, others were musicians and there were those who even did rare types of art. There were plenty of mages too who also crafted things. And of course, there were other inventors and engineers as well.

She struck upon a huge idea: what if she made a guild for crafting? Dragons of all kinds, from anywhere if they wished, could come here and make a living. They could be provided food and housing if they didn't have a place to stay, and spend every day doing what they loved and make a profit from it, all while being surrounded by other innovative types. In a way, it would also be a clan. Everyone could have a found family, something that was especially important to Freye since she was discouraged so much growing up.

Freye brought this up with the dragons she knew, who also thought it'd be an amazing idea. After much planning and pooling together a lot of funds, the Serengwynt Guild of Crafting was founded.

Since it was very difficult to run something so big on her own, there are multiple dragons in charge of the different departments of crafts. A distant goal of Freye's is to eventually relocate the guild at the Cloudsong, since it feels like just the place for Serengwynt.
