Nemo and his mate Octavia are the resident inventors of the clan. They both love to tinker with any nearby gadgets. Nemo in particular loves to create devices that make life easier for the clan. His favorite invention is the "Automatic Egg Incubator-er-or" Unfortunately for Nemo, his devices do not always work precisely, leading to many injuries that aggravate Nynaeve. She can often be seen hovering nearby when Nemo is unveiling his latest creation, muttering about running short on healing supplies.

Octavia and her mate Nemo are the resident mechanics of the clan. They both love to tinker with any sort of machinery. As a hatchling, Octavia could not be parted from her favorite toy, a scrap of a circuit board. As an adult, she made her way to the Ashfall Waste where she met Nemo. The two of them shared a love of invention that was greatly welcomed by the Clan of Fire and Smoke. Octavia's passion is creating devices to detect the oftentimes unpredictable volcanic activity of the Ashfall Waste. She usually sports singe marks from recent close calls!

Seran was the last of Hephaestus and Aglaea's eggs to hatch. The opposite of his rather boisterous sister, he was quite timid and shy to the point of being almost mute. His other siblings took advantage of this and bossed him around. Naturally Hephaestus and Aglaea were a bit concerned by this and in an attempt to overcome his shyness, agreed that he would be apprenticed to the clan's senior guard. Under the tutulage of Cizinec, Seran at last gained the confidence he had long lacked. He grew into a calm and confident warrior capable of making decisions very quickly.
After his apprenticeship ended, Seran decided it was time for him to leave the clan of his birth and travel to the far reaches of Sorneith. Like his other siblings, he had grown up listening to his parents tell tales of their youthful adventures and now felt he possessed the skills needed to make his way in the world.
Now Seran finds himself employed in the [fill in name here] clan. While he takes his job as a guard very seriously, all of the hatchlings in the clan know to go directly to him for entertainment. There is nothing Seran loves to do more after a long shift then recreate the magic of his parents' stories and entrance the young ones with tales of wonder.

Marlin's specialty lies in underwater basket weaving. This presents a bit of a challenge since he resides in the Ashfall Waste, but he enjoys his early morning treks to the pools of the Emberglow Heath to fetch water from the abundant hot springs. Boisterous and loud, the lair often echos with the sounds of his singing.

Niamh is the clan's resident painter. Her specialty lies in watercolors. Each morning, she travels with her mate to collect water from the hotspring pools of the Emberglow Heath. In contrast to her loud and outgoing mate, Niamh prefers to simply take things in and watch quietly. She is known to set up her easel in a corner of the lair and simply paint whatever interesting dragon passes her by. Currently, she is tackling a project of painting every single familiar who associates with the clan.

Awkward on land, but swimming slowly, yet gracefully, in the sea, Sea Turtle Dragons are content to spend their time in the waters of the Fishspine Reef. They spend the majorities of their long lives in the water and are capable of holding their breath for up to seven hours underwater. Remarkably, these snappers are quite able to swim with ease, unlike many of their other brethren, whom seem to sink to the bottom. Their hides are extremely tough and thick, able to repel attacks with ease.

These dragons are often tenders of reefs and kelp forests, protecting them from those who wish them harm and helping to control the populations of the native species. When it comes time for them to nest, they haul themselves up onto the sandy shores to lay their eggs, covering them with sand and leaving them to hatch.
