Marsh

Marsh was always a strange dragon.

This first memory was waking up in a forest, alone and inside a hollowed out tree. The ground underneath him was fresh moss and feather bedding, but besides that, their was no other signs of life.

He already knew how to speak and was very confused who he was and why he was ere. He waited a week for someone to show up, but no one did. So, the young hatchling left his hollowed out tree nest and decided to explore his surroundings.

Because of his odd coloring, animals and Beast Clans were scared of him and ran away. He didn't mind, because he preferred to be alone. He gave himself the name Marsh, after his odd coloring and how it reminded him of the marsh that he called home.

Later, Marsh left the marsh to find somewhere to set up camp. That when he met Nightsky, a pretty hatchling that was his age. He told her his story and suddenly, felt a strange connection to the dragoness.

Nightsky told him that he was half Plague Flight and half Arcane Flight, which explained his weird coloring. She also told him he was a Pearlcatcher dragon, which explained his weird obsession with pearls.

In secret, Nightsky fed him scraps of food and told him more about the world. She explained The Eleven and how the world worked. She also taught him the basics of hunting, fishing, insect collecting, and plant gathering. Nightsky also told Marsh how he was her only friend, since her father never let her leave their territory.

When they grew up, something strange happened. Nightsky's father, a dragon named Tantrum, disappeared when he went hunting. Marsh and Nightsky waited for Tantrum for an entire month. After that month passed, Marsh finally told Nightsky that they needed to leave.
