Perhaps being constantly surrounded by water in her native Sea of a Thousand Currents inspired Nigh's extensive love - and exquisite taste - in beverages. Though tea in its many varieties is her favorite (and specialty), Nigh has a talent for pairing just the right drink with every food.

She traveled to the island of Prufrock to taste its famed peach tea, though she was puzzled by the reception she received. Some of the clan's dragons seemed to view her petaled hide as an auspicious sign, seeing as the clan's symbol was a stylized peach blossom, while others eyed her with suspicion, thinking she might have some part in the "curse" that was affecting some members of the clan, afflicting them with petals. Because of this, she found it difficult to make friends in the clan until she met Indy, a wildclaw with a similarly petaled hide. Nigh can always be counted on to taste test her mate's culinary creations, and she always finds just the right beverage to compliment it. Though she prefers tea, she branched out to help Pence develop coffee brews for the shop that he and Cupric run. She also experimented with alcoholic beverages for Gundy and Zinny's inn, the Tiresias Tavern in Lantern Port.

Nigh is an exceptionally affectionate coatl and will nuzzle or curl up next to any dragon who seems in need of cheering up, though she is especially close to Indy...usually quite physically close to the point of often being underfoot.
