She was welcomed warmly into Clan Underwood, after having attempted to start a clan of her own on the Zephyr Steppes. She was rebuffed by the Windsinger, her plea to join his region caught in the wind and scattered without being heard. She attempted to remain, building herself a lair in one of the bamboo groves.
But soon loneliness drove her to seek other dragons. When she attempted to take flight in search of a mate or someone to call kin the wind caught her wings and blew her high into the sky.
She gave up trying to fight against the current of the wind and allowed herself to soar, floating free and alone until she reached the place where Wind, Fire, Water and Lightning meet.
The thought of diving into the cool dark of Water to make her home filled her with dread, she knew that she could not make her home away from the breezes in which she'd been born. The same held true of Fire's realm, the heat and smoke caused her to fear, so she turned to the Shifting Expanse.

"Perhaps it will only be for a short time." She thought to herself as she began to search for a place to land.
She discovered Clan Underwood, in a lair in the Highlands. A small group of dragons, mainly like herself, refugees from other lands and lairs. Coinneach seemed to lead them, but in what exactly never seemed to become clear.
She made herself as at home as one possibly can in a place made entirely of cactus and dry ground. She became friends with Moira, another of the Windsinger's wayward children. And watched as the clan began to prosper under Aslaug's training.
She tried not to be jealous of Moira's relationship with Elspet. But every night she settled down alone in her lair she felt more and more lonely.
It wasn't until much later, when the Clan celebrated their first Mistral Jamboree that she returned to the Windsinger's domain to help her adoptive clan find the treasures that Windsinger had scattered throughout his realm that she thought perhaps she should move on. But she succumbed to Moira's contagious enthusiasm, and joined in the scavenging.
The egg that she found with the first swipe of her claws sent a shock of recognition down her spine, causing her to shiver. She clutched it to herself, and only showed it to Moira to be sure that it was real.
When they returned to the Highlands and Ruaidri hatched she felt such intense joy that she thought it must be what Guardians feel when they find their charge. They very rarely leave each other's side.
