Dark Magic Ability: Doesn't feel pain

In the clan of the Dead Stag

Like all the hatchlings from the clan of the Dead Stag, Sépulcrâne wasn’t raised by his parents -what was not a loss as they never shown any interest in raising their children- but he grown up under their influences. When the other dragons put their eyes on him, they only saw that he was son of Hakai, said “Lord Destruction”, and acted in the best case with reservation, in the worse case with vehemence.
Sépulcrâne sometime says that he didn’t born evil, but that clanmate makes him became so.

Without any will to, he slowly started to follow the path of his father. Luckily his soul is not as Dark is his father’s… where Hakai is truly annable to make any friend or feel any bound with someone else but hi mate, Sépulcrâne have a few friend but acts with most of the other dragons with deviousness.

Where Hakai only live to witness great destruction, Sépulcrâne only takes delight in the distress of his clan mates.

However this bad aspects of his personality, the ridgeback shows an outstanding sense of Justice and trust in something he calls the “right chatiment”... for Sépulcrâne, no one is above the Law and any crime must be severely sanctioned. That’s how he managed to become the Judge of the Clan.

His clan mate still don’t trust him, but at least they trust in his sense of Justice.

In the Shadewalker

Sépulcrâne finds hint about the existence of the Shadewalkers in the researches of Fissure, a Light Imperial philosopher, who studied about the Shade before his sudden death. In the notes the old imperial left behind him, the dragons of the shadwalker weren’t named none was their Deity, in fact it were more suppositions than real evidences.
For an unknown reason, Sépulcrâne decided to hide the notes in his personal stuff and never touched a word about them to anybody. Months, then years, passed until one day Hakai his father, alluded that “there were all around the world dragons worshiping the Shade.” After these words, the eldritch ridgeback decided to look for them. He take back the notes of Fissure and started to avidly search after more usable hints of their localisation. He never knew what was his goal in this -probably vain- initiative, but he finally find the entrance of a secret cave.

The place was highly protected by shade-touched plague tendril and being to large and clumsy, Sépulcrâne never find a way to pass this trial. He came back to the lair, ate up by a gnawing rage but he didn't say his last word! He certainly didn't do all of this researches in the plague lands to be evicted just at the entrance of one of the secrets places of the Shadewalkers. No matter if he should lost his life, he would enter and meet these dragons!

Slowly but surely he started to speak to his mate, Shokushu, about tales and stories about a secret twelfth Flight who had followers all around Sornieth and even more, a living Deity you could see, touch and talk to. Sépulcrâne knew that Sohushu was a great warrior but most important that she was easily influenceable! He thought right because the spiral believed about all his story and started to trust in Serith, the fake Deity worshiped by the Shadewalkers, and soon asked him if he knew where to find them.

Shokushu had a bad time fighting against the shade-touched tendrils, but she managed to open a path large enough to let the ridgeback accessed to the cave.
[...]

When he finally stands in front of Serith he bows before her but the dark guardian didn’t make any moves.

“Save yourself from the weight of your fake allegiance. I know what you know about me…”
“My allegiant is not feigned. You may be a fake God but what you built with your followers is great and you have true power.”
“You didn’t pass the trial. All you deserve is to be killed.”
“I did. I may not pass your trial with my own skills, but I find a way to persuade another dragon to do this work for me. I am sure you won’t make the mistake to put strength above mind…”

After a long minute of silence, Serith asked:
“... and what do you have to offer to me, you, the dragon who doesn’t trust in a fake God?”
“ I came here with a new follower for you, my own mate, and she is all granted to your cause. I may bring back more. Be sure I’ll never talk about your secret to anybody...”
“What do you know about torture?”
“I know all I have to about torture.”
“No you don’t. You only know what it is to torture someone else but you are weak and you would reveal all my secret at the first scratch...”

The ridgeback point down the nose, suddenly he felt stupid to have thought he could being part of the Shadewalkers knowing that Serith was a fake God. Finally, he knew he won’t never escape this cave.

“You shall not shows such a bad face in my presence. You are weak, and you will break at first suffering… but I know your name. You are Sépulcrâne from the Clan of the Dead Stag, I heard about your father, and if your name start with an S, then maybe you have a role to accomplish here. Approach and take my present.”

The ridgeback filled the distance between them and stood in front of the guardian. He suddenly felt paralysed and was only able to move the eye to look at Serith walking around him while strange dark magic flied up from the floor. After a moment, the guardian shooted a sharp claw strike on his shoulder that make him jump aside.

Surprised, he looked at the deep wound bleeding...

“How was it?” asked Serith
“It was like a caress… I don’t understand.”
“From now ons, you will never experienced pain again.”

Grateful about Serith’s Gift he thanked her weavilly. But the Guardian was cold :

“That is as much a gift that it is a curse. You will have to be carefull, Pain is an important thing to any living being… it helps to not do such stupid thing like enter a cave where you could encounter a tragic fate… now, go. Go and bring me back more followers, but try to not be killed.”
