Kvasir

In Norse mythology, Kvasir was a being born of the saliva of the Æsir and the Vanir, two groups of gods. Extremely wise, Kvasir traveled far and wide, teaching and spreading knowledge. This continued until the dwarfs Fjalar and Galar killed Kvasir and drained him of his blood. The two mixed his blood with honey, resulting in the Mead of Poetry, a mead which imbues the drinker with skaldship and wisdom.

Kvasir used to be a diplomat in the lair of Loki's father. While traveling back from Loki's lair to his father, he died a mysterious death. To solve the mysteries surrounding his murder and the political plots and intrigues, Hela, Aurbotha and a little dark magic brought him back to life. While the conspiracy has long been banned to history and forgotten by most, Kvasir stays at Loki's side. He mostly stares blankly at nothing in particular, and only talks to loki, so no one knows how much alive he really is. Some dragons suspect his soul has left long ago and that he is only an animated corpse, and scary whispers go around, suggesting he might even be a berserker.
