One night after the Summer Solstice, a shooting star was seen crashing to earth. No one was hurt, and no one really thought much of it until one night when the lone nocturne came to the clan cloaked in a veil of stars. For days the Nocturne sat up in the trees, unwilling to move from her perch, silent and refusing to eat anything. It wasn't until Victoria insisted that she try to approach the lone being that they were able to get any sort of information. Victoria's incredibly observant people skills (and use of empathetic abilities) allowed her to assess exactly what was needed to help this strange being feel at ease.

After weeks and weeks of small talk, Aura finally confided in Victoria. Aura was no dragon at all, or at least she wasn't born like that. No, Aura was a wishing star. Aura said that she had been a star flying high in the sky above the Arcane planes, listening to those that needed someone to hear them, or doing her utmost to grant wishes.

However, as the seasons changed, Aura eventually found herself hovering over the harsh lands of the lightning flight. No one believed in wishing stars there, not that it bothered her because she had no emotions...until one night. She caught sounds of something...something beautiful. At first, there was a warmth about her, she shone brighter. She knew that the dragons and beasts that wished upon her held something she had heard of called emotions, but being what she was she had never experienced them. Why would she? She was merely a burning ball of gas.

Night after night she heard beautiful singing, and each time she had heard it, she felt...happy. She anxiously waited for the singing each night as the sun unveiled the myriad of stars above. However, this night the singing did not come. Mournful sounds of agony reached her as a brilliant light appeared next to her. A new star. The star faced the ground below, shedding it's brilliant white light to the land below and ceasing the mournful cry.

Years passed and Aura now hovered above the Gladekeeper's realm. She had nearly forgotten about the beautiful singing she had heard so many years ago...until that night. A different more mature voice reached her. Sometimes it would talk to her, sometimes it would sing to her, and others it would talk to the star next to her. The individual seemed sad and disheartened, and Aura felt...helpless, like she wanted to do more than silently aid him.

One night, the dragon who had remained her companion made a real wish upon her. He wished for a friend. A pulse of energy erupted through her core and emotions and sensations she hadn't known existed came flooding into her. Her body burned and she began to plummet to the ground below her.

That was how she had ended up in the small clan she had. She was trying her best to face these new circumstances, for now, she was no longer a star, but a dragon who had been wished into existence by another. Her only goal now is to find the dragon she had listened to for years and give him what he wished for.

Obviously, it will take time for her to grow accustomed to her new life, but now she has Victoria, Elysia, Aerowen, Colada and Joy all looking out for her and doing their best to teach her. Only they and Kepi know of her origins. However, only Victoria herself knows that Aura still maintains her wish granting powers.
