Beneath a clean and inoffensive perfume of a cucumber and mint concoction is something darker.
The fading incense clinging to her robes and hair speaks of mysticism, of monastic chanting, of cabalistic rooms shrouded in that trance-inducing smoke.
ii.
Rarely, if ever, does she speak above a murmur. On the momentous occasion that she does raise her voice, it is quite obvious that all is not right.
In an alarmingly low register, Cabernet's voice is hoarse and almost raw, rough in the manner of those who survive fires, only to come out with flames lining their lungs.
iii.
A shimmering haze lingers at the priestess' edges, dissipating if one looks upon it from more than the corner of their vision. A glamour, perhaps?
iv.
Gentle Light rolls off Cabernet like the remnants of a sweet summer rain, its usual warmth banked to a chill by the softest melancholy.
