Lore
Hoodoos are rock formations typically formed in badland regions by wind and water erosion. Often made of sandstone, hoodoos have eroded into fantastic shapes and provide a unique environment for the dragons that choose to live among them. Hoodoo Lizards are uniquely camouflaged for their environment; coloured like the sandstone around them with disruptive camouflage to help obscure their outlines. The natural concealment provided by their colouration allows Hoodoo Lizards to lie in wait for their prey, often under sprawling desert sage shrubs or in large holes eroded into the sandstone. Hoodoo Lizards are not the swiftest of dragons over long distances but they can be impressively fast in short bursts, allowing them to catch prey or evade capture. Long claws and muscular tails make Hoodoo Lizards excellent climbers; young dragons are especially daring often attempting tall spires and steep cliff faces. These dragons love to bask at the top of tall pillars, once the sun has cooled they will spread their small wings and glide down to hunt and play.
