{ron-dah} At the Breezebreak Resort there is always a slew of couples and mates that gather for a vacation out in the warm sun of the beach. They could be shockingly gorgeous, diehard romantics, or quiet lovers on a peaceful retreat. None of them could ever stand up to the local couple that has the whole of the resort blushing and pining after them. Rhonda is easily recognizable on the beachfront with her shockingly bright orange colors and crystalline wings that catch the setting sun. She serves as a Safety Officer and ensures that everyone is having a pleasant time on the beach without any dangers. Most of her time is spent walking the beach, passing out spare sunscreen and pegs for umbrellas and towels. Playing children in the water are carefully watched by Rhonda, judging if they have gone past the safety line or not. These kinds of situations usually lead her to get into the water and play with the small ones, teaching them safety techniques and where it is safe to swim or not in the deeper waters. Rhonda may be an important part of the Resort now, but once she was but another tourist that frequently visited to unwind and relax. In the past, when she was young and single, she was considered quite the flirt. Passing beach boys would be rendered into a blushing mess with her flirtatious speech and perhaps a choice few ladies would hide behind wings at compliments and winks. Yet out of all of these dragons that came and went there was always one that drew her eye back to them, a local Nocturne named Ketut. He was also known as a local flirt, capturing the hearts of all the ladies on the beach with his easy-going personality and some sweet drinks at his bartending job. Seeing these two next to each other causes the tension in the air to turn thick with flirtatious advancements and quiet retreats. They both knew how the game went and they enjoyed dancing around each other every time they encountered the other. As time went by, though, Rhonda began to feel something deeper than a fling or a crush with the Nocturne. She realized that she was in love. What a surprise for the Coatl to realize this, oh what a surprise indeed. It was shocking enough for her to avoid the bar he worked at which immediately caught his attention and urged him to seek her out. When he found her, she was alone and reserved in her speech. He pressed on the subject, confused at the lack of flirtatious words that made up so much of her conversation. This went on for a while, Rhonda trying everything in her power to avoid the handsome dragon and get away. But it was not to be and she finally broke and spilled her feelings and emotions to the dragon with all the passion and fury of a sunrise. And he took her hands, and spilled his thoughts and passion like water unto the sand. And that was it. The deal was sealed and their love grew from a small ember into a burning flame. Rhonda moved into the Resort and began her job as a Safety Officer so that she could still meet and sit with Ketut at the bar on breaks. The two are still flirtatious, Ketut more so than Rhonda at his bar job. It has caused a handful of disagreements between each other but they grew above and beyond it, solidifying their relationship and passion for each other. There is a story hidden in here but that is for another time. Perhaps when the sun is just rising over the horizon, and the waves have calmed into a lull. Ketut will offer up drinks and Rhonda will sit down and tell the tale of how their passion grew to be as bright as the sunrise. By Shadylex
