Zinc's egg was unearthed during cable maintenance in The Lightning Farm, after a particularly powerful bolt of lightning struck and severed the rubber cables. It is believed she was created by the great amalgamation of lightning. Perhaps this is the reason for her tenacity and thirst for adventure, unusual among her kind. Despite this, she is still afraid of the dangers that are inevitably encountered during her travels, which are nearly perpetual. She does her best to hide this fear, although it is her personal belief that facing one's fears is the definition of bravery.

In particular, Zinc has a penchant for archeology and geology. She takes great delight in discovery. Despite these qualities, she is also known for her general contempt for rules, laws and the wishes of others. She has absolutely no regard for trespassing and an apathy for theft, particularly as a known grave robber. She often sells the more expensive items she acquires, and hoards gold and other artifacts in her lair. There are maps to several tombs and crypts hidden away in her pearl, only decipherable by her. Her pearl is safely tucked away in one of her satchels.

Regardless, Zinc does have compassion. If someone genuinely requires her help, she will come to their aid. She's not much of a physical fighter, but she is reasonably versed in lightning magic. Like most of her kind, Zinc prefers to abscond and avoid confrontation rather than fight at all.
