Shattered Glass 		Gloam.
Uncommonly sensitive Skydancers are destined for greatness. This is well known to the Lanternlea cliff-dwellers, and particularly gifted hatchlings are mentored with exceeding care. Unfortunately, Gloam was not so much a gifted hatchling as an aggrieved one. The slightest brush of a strong emotion or magical aura cursed the drake with migraines, his senses so acute that discerning anything from the overwhelming flood of information was impossible.

Though his family loathed to give a hatchling anything less than smotheringly tender care, necessity made Gloam a largely solitary dragon. He explored more of the Lightweaver’s domain than much of his clan would ever see. In his adolescent journeys, Gloam came across the Hewn City, and grew enraptured with its haunted streets. While his aura sense was overwhelmed by living dragons, the dangerous ruins were imbued with subtle, dark magics that unfurled under his perception with glorious detail.

Gloam became obsessed with uncovering the secrets of the Hewn City, and the mysterious arch of the Moonportal just beyond it. His life’s work would culminate in this discovery - or he would die in search of the truth.
