Arthur is a scientist. An engineer, a biologist, a botanist, a chemist- every useful branch of science, he studies. He often disappears into his workshop or lab for days at a time, coming out with a new invention or plant variety or chemical potion. Most of the clan is unaware of his work, as he prefers to keep to himself. He's known to the farmers and gardeners though, as he's created several types of fertilizers. Sunshine takes care of his bizarre plants with the help of a robotic assistant, another of his creations.

Arthur is energetic and enthusiastic. He'll talk for hours about whatever's drawn his interest at the moment. He's extroverted, until he vanishes into his lab, where he hates being disturbed (except by his husband, of course). He often forgets to eat while he's working, and Gawain brings him food and reminds him to take breaks. He contracted his gembond when he was young via a lab accident. He's constantly working on it, devising medicines to try to cure it. He's managed to slow its growth, miraculously, and he's constantly tweaking that formula to see if he can stop it all together.

Arthur came to the clan only a couple years after its inception. He met his husband Gawain very soon, as he was part of the group who welcomed him to the clan. They started dating very soon after, as Gawain was taken by Arthur's scruffy intelligence, and Arthur by Gawain's beauty and kindness. They were married only a year or so later, and both are happy as could be. He grew up and studied in the Shifting Expanse, where scientists like him are much more common. He felt his skills could be better appreciated elsewhere, and eventually made his way to the Windswept Plateau.
