Haunting | Ghost Fighter | Clan Warrior | Mate of Redemption permanent member of the clan  Haunting is a newer member to the Clan. He was found as an egg and added to Modesty & Flummoxed's clutch with the blessing of NameGiver herself. Once he hatched he found himself enthralled with the Clan, and the Clan's warriors. He was named Haunting for the way he would float close to their training locations and just watched them, as if he were nothing more than a ghost. Justice, the captain of the guard, took note that under almost all of the Scouts' feet was a small Guardian, Watery eyes keenly observing the group. |
"War," Justice had called for the Water Fae. Haunting watched as the Imperial stared him down and spoke to the birdskull clad warrior. "You have been aching for an apprentice. Do you think he is suited?"
Haunting had been scrutinized then, the small yet powerful Fae tapping him here, there, and well everywhere! She himmed and haahed in that gentle monotone before nodding, mostly to herself. "As he grows, he will. As he grows, he will hunt the Haunting."
Growing up wasn't hard in the Clan. He easily remembered War agreeing to train him, and so he would spend hours waiting for her to return from the Ruins. He would happily do anything for her. By promising to keep him as her trainee, War had become Haunting's Charge. He made it his life goal to protect, learn, and adore War.
War, however, hadn't his romantic heart. That, the young Guardian, hadn't known he could even give out until a sad orange Guardian Hatchling was brought home by Enlightenment. She had been thrown from the nest into the harsh world by her own mother. Faults of her father were passed onto her directly and from it she only gained a sad story and a new clan. Haunting felt pity for her at first, after all he had at least hatched within the walls of NameSake. She had been brought in, knowing her past. It wasn't as if the clan didn't accept her fully, for they did. Even before her name shifted from Korak to Redemption.
But Haunting was one of the few who actively sought her company. From there a sweet friendship grew and slowly morphed into a lovely coupling.
