Section 2: Physical and Chemical Information

Length: 3.52 m

Wingspan: 1.6 m

Weight: 53.11 Kg

Species: Imperial

Sex: Female

Physical Description:
At time of discovery, the subject appeared to be a relatively non-anomalous headscarf of a slightly translucent deep red-brown coloration, and covered in embroidered gold patterning. The headscarf was of a finely woven silk-like material, and was initially believed to have belonged to the reigning monarch [redacted].

Currently, the subject appears to be made of the same silk-like material, and is of the same red-brown coloring. However the patterns of embroidery have changed and continue to do so regularly. The changing configuration of the embroidery does not appear to follow a pattern or form any coherent or recognizable shape or image. The subject has also undergone a drastic change in shape, at its time of discovery, F833 was of a roughly rectangular shape with dimensions of approximately 0.5 m x 0.2 m. approximately three (3) weeks later, the subject was found to be of an irregular shape that may be likened to an Imperial dragon. It had also grown in size to approximately 3.52 m x 1.6 m.

At most recent observation, the subject has fully taken on the shape of a small Imperial, and is warm to the touch. Despite this, its outer covering remains faintly translucent, although no internal organs are observed.

Material Properties:
The translucent outer covering of F833 was initially thought to be made of a finely woven silk-like material. After its anomalous nature was recognized, tests were carried out to better characterize and understand the nature of the material. From these tests, it was found that as expected, the material is organic but it is not a woven material as originally was thought. F883 is extremely strong and highly flexible, it is resistant to heat and performs extraordinarily well as an insulator. The material is also exceedingly tough and cannot be cut, making further analysis difficult.

Section 3: Discovery Location and Circumstances

Discovery Location:
The subject was found at an archeological dig site within the Sunbeam Ruins. The site is located in the subregion [redacted], near [redacted] and [redacted] at coordinates Latitude:N[redacted], Longitude:E[redacted].

Discovery circumstances:
Upon discovery by Dr [redacted], who was excavating in the area as part of a study on the [redacted] civilization, F833 was handled and categorized in a similar fashion to other non-anomalous objects found at the dig site (see section 2). The subject was placed in storage at [redacted] approximately two (2) days following its initial discovery and archived as a non-anomalous artifact.

Approximately three (3) weeks later, Dr [redacted] retrieved the artifact from storage and began analysis. Noticeable differences in F388's size and shape were noted. Further analysis and studies of categorization images taken at different times revealed the objects certain and rapid growth, as well as the changing embroidery patterns. F833 was reclassified as an anomalous entity and moved to the AMCH [redacted] facility.

Section 4: Exposure Controls and Accidental Release Measures

Diet: Varied

Containment:
F833 may be contained in a Dragon-class containment unit/habitat. The habitat may be furnished with a variety of coloured silk and silk-blend fabrics.

The subject appears to have minimal response to outside stimulus and remains extremely placid when handled, and shows no attempt or desire to escape containment. F833 spends a large portion of its time motionless, and seems to enjoy remaining in piles of silk or silk-blend fabric. Fabric that is introduced into the subject's habitat must be carefully screened for moths and their larve/eggs. Decontamination procedure 22A is recommended.

Required Safety Precautions:
The subject appears non-toxic and non-aggressive, minimal precautions may be taken to ensure it does not escape. Care must be taken to check fabric for F833 before removing it from the containment unit.

Section 5: Regulatory Information
F833 is highly susceptible to consumption by insects under ‎the order Lepidoptera and it is essential that no entities of that type come into contact with F83. See incident report 24341833-1

Section 6: Incident reports
Report 24341833-1

The subject was found uncontained by maintenance staff member [Redacted] during a routine maintenance check. The subject was completely motionless and at 20% of its last recorded size. A dusty residue covering a large proportion of the subject's mass was found, and was later determined to be comprised of the remains of a colony of the species Tineola bisselliella. It was concluded that the subject was largely consumed by the larvae of that species, however further investigation is required to determine the method by which the subject breached containment.

Following this event, decontamination procedure 22A was carried out on the subject's containment unit and the subject was reintroduced. Over a period of four (4) weeks the subject regenerated to normal mass, aside from the slowing of growth over that time, the subject does not appear to have suffered any long term effects as a result of this incident. Further tests using small swathes of cloth harvested from the subject, have determined that any species falling under the genus Tineidae are capable of causing great amounts of damage to F833.

Report 24341833-1

As of ##/##/2017 the subject has developed an as of yet unidentified fungal growth. The fungus was initially discovered as a thick dark ink-like substance on the right wingtip of F833. Over a period of seven (7) days since it's initial discovery on F833, the fungus had spread rapidly, appearing in no less than four (4) discreet areas on the subject. The fabric at the initial area of contact had also degraded to form a flaky parchment-like substance. At this point it was clear that the unknown growth posed a threat to the subject and decontamination procedure 45A was performed in an attempt to decontaminate the subject and its containment unit.

Decontamination procedure 45A was partly successful in removing the foreign substance from F833 and the containment unit. Fungal structures were still observed on F833 post-decontamination, however they appeared to be reduced in size. Ten (10) days after the conclusion of 45A, the subject was inspected by [redacted] who concluded that the fungus' growth had halted, however the damaged portions of F833 have yet to regrow.
