Ezreal

Ezreal can see floating fish.

When he tried asking his friends and family about them as a hatchling, they just smiled and asked for the name of the game he was playing. When he tried discussing them as he got older... well it was hard to miss the sideways glances and concerned expressions.

He could see floating fish that apparently nobody else could.

Ezreal decided to never mention them again, which worked for awhile. He fell in love, had children, and continued to ignore the luminous aquatic entities floating around him. Then one day he noticed they'd increased in size.

A mystic visiting the clan stopped him on his way home and said she felt strong spiritual energy surrounding him. Although she was unsure of the cause, she suspected Ezreal's 'fish' were actually coalesced energy he was unable to utilize. Together they planned to work on finding spells that would utilize the energy. A few days later the mystic was called away and the fish were large enough to constantly block his vision.

He thought maybe he'd be able to study magicks on his own. Soon their den looked like a library, much to Lili's dismay. "And where are you expecting us to sleep?" She asked when the tenth delivery of tomes came in. "As soon as I find the right spell, these can all go away." Ezreal muttered inbetween incantations.

Lili tried to understand, she even bought him a few spell books, but he could tell she was nearing her limit of tolerance. And then the words he was dreading came. "I think we should spend some time apart."

He couldn't blame her; he was appalled at his own obsessive behavior over finding a spell he could actually cast. "If that's what you want. I only wish for your happiness." Suddenly the fish grew bright and he shielded his eyes despite knowing how silly he must look. When the light was gone, he hesitantly peeked out.

The fish were gone! He blinked and realized they were actually still there, but a more manageable size than they had been in a long time. "The books shall go! All of them, right now!" He started to grab an armful of books. "And we shall go on a vacation. Pick a place and we shall go there first thing in the morning!" Even if their diminutive size only lasted a few months, he wanted to make the most of that time.

"I'm sorry, but who are you?"

Ezreal turned around to find a complete stranger.

"And what are you doing with my books?"

Though she spoke with Lili's voice and wore the same colors, everything else about her had changed.

"I'm sorry... you asked me to help remove the books yesterday..." Ezreal mumbled, confused and bewildered by his mate's transformation. "I'll just leave now since it appears you've changed your mind."

He stood outside, unsure of where to go.
