Biography
Clan Chief | Clan Leader| Chief of Clan | Head of Clan | Ex-Adventurer |♂ |
Art by GhostPeng
Hues is the the father and head of the family. Always looking after the clan by fending off enemies and gather food for the family. He can be kinda intimidating sometimes, but he is kind hearted towards his family and lost hatchlings. Whenever he finds a lost hatchling without a parent, he'll bring it back to the clan for his wife to take care of. He also makes sure the clan is well fed, no matter where they came from, he'll considered them as one of the clan once adopted. When Hues was only an egg, he was found and hatched by a scorpion name Scorpius. Scorpius raised the little hatchling and did his best to teach him to defend himself. Though, the scorpion did became the hatchlings chew toy on several occasion, but he always come out fine in the end (somehow). Hues already had a fighting spirit since he was little so he easily grew up fighting monsters and training himself. A very hearty soul that loves adventures and thrills. Tends to laugh very loudly with a lot of energy when amused. Also quite open to games and mind messing puzzles (but he will blow up if he can't solve that thing within an hour). When he was younger during his mid-age, he was wandering the forest like he always does, but he came upon a beautiful pink Tundra, Laila, and fell in love at first sight with her. Fortunately, it was mutual, so it wasn't long for them to start a family and then not long after, a clan. Of course, Scorpius also helped with raising the family, gathering food, and training dragons. One can almost say that he was the caretaker and nanny of the clan. Not to mention, a (chew) toy for the hatchlings. |

Scorpius
I have two forms that I would use depending on which story version I'm going with.
Job: I like to call myself the Caretaker of the clan, but I tend to do a lot of odd jobs from helping other dragons with their own jobs to helping Hues when he needs me for some advise. I mainly look after the vaults and treasury to make sure our clan has enough money and supplies. I record everything in the Hoard to make sure everything is listed and to keep track of supplies when things are added and taken out. I sometimes help with gathering. I do daily patrolling, twice or thrice a day. I also visit the training grounds to watch, help advise, and train with the dragons. Gotta keep myself fit for battle at all times. Battle breaks out often enough for it to be worth it. Not to mention, keeps our body at tip top shape. I also help with taking care of the hatchlings sometime, but I can assure you, it’s not one of my favorite jobs. Either I have this frightening magnet for hatchlings or these hatchlings have an uncanny instinct to sense me when I’m nearby and started chasing me like their favorite toy.
Scorpion Form
Use mostly for comics for humor reasons. The gag comics storyline I draw only has me in this form.
Human Form:
Used for a more serious and deeper storyline, but the scorpion form is also used in this storyline when I don't have enough energy to maintain my human form or to preserve my energy.
Normal appearance: This is the appearance I would normally look when I'm outside. Yes, I would carry my spear with me too incase I need it. You don't know when it would come in handy. And in this clan, it comes in handy many times. The glasses are my reading glasses. Let's just say I have a hard time reading, especially small letters and in dim lit areas.Use mostly for comics for humor reasons. The gag comics storyline I draw only has me in this form.
Human Form:
Used for a more serious and deeper storyline, but the scorpion form is also used in this storyline when I don't have enough energy to maintain my human form or to preserve my energy.
Each part of our body can be poisonous, even our saliva, sweat, nails, hair, flesh, blood, and bone. Depending on what amount, who's poison, and what poison enters your body, the effects can differ. Effects comes in variety like paralysis, acidic, insanity, hallucination, loss of sense, and death. Our flesh and blood are possibly the deadliest since it can almost immediately kill any life form in a matter of seconds once it enters the body. Though our poison can harm other creatures, among our kind, we are immune to each other.
There was also another ability our race had: the ability to transform into a beast. The beast form is unique to each person and has its own special skills. Though, only the older and stronger ones are able to do this. It's also considered as reaching adulthood in our culture and would be celebrated. Unfortunately, to other races, it's a frightening form and considered a monstrosity. They would also see us as monsters or demons. It can't be helped when our beast forms aren't pretty. It's characteristic supposed to be intimidating and frightening (and sometimes hideous) to scare off enemies.
Since our body was poison to other creatures, we don't have any natural predators that would attack us. Even if children were to wander around in the jungle, no predators would bother them since there were no point in wasting energy in hunting a prey that can't be eaten without killing themselves. Not to mention, if they ever get bitten or scratched by even a child of our kind, they can also die.
After the massacre, only few of my kind were left. Those of us that survived were captured and taken away to have our poison harvest. We were only kept alive for that reason. After several long months, another group of sentients defeated the group that hunted my people and found us... or what was left of us. By the time these sentient found us, only 3 of us were left. Only 3 of my kind were able to survive the harsh and inhumane condition of imprisonment. It was me and 2 of my cousins, who were siblings, an older brother and little sister. I was the youngest.
These new sentients were much kinder and had higher moral values. They rescued us and cared for us. Once we were older, we joined the war. A war our people tried so hard to stay out of. Then during one of the battles, one of us was killed... the sister. Only 2 of us remained...
The death of his sister caused my cousin to suddenly act strange. He was normally calm, caring, and would often give a warm smile. But after his sister's death, he became quiet, moody, and would seclude himself in books. I didn't know what to do and was too scared to ask what he was doing, so I never knew what he was up to until... our last battle.
It was a trap and our army were ambushed. I was supposed to die on that battlefield, but my cousin did a forbidden art he found from reading all the magic books he could find. He switched our souls and took my body, so he could die in my place. I took his and survived. He sacrificed himself for his last family member and went to join his sister in the afterlife. So the body I have was not mine and I was now the last of my kind. My race was doomed to extinction for our kind can't have children with other races, because we would end up killing our partner.
The lost of my last family and being all alone finally caused me to go insane. It was then that I finally gain my beast form, but at the same time, I lost my sanity. I turned into a monster that seek nothing but destruction and destroyed anything in sight. No matter if they were friend or foe.
Finally, some powerful magic users tried to stop me. They weren't able to kill me, but they were able to seal me away. Imprison me in a dimension that separated me from this realm. It was a realm where time stopped for me while the time outside still moved on. It was like I was there and not. I was trapped in a magic prison underground where I was unable to get out. I watched as the war went on and ended. It was only when the Great Explosion that gave birth to the Arcanist happened and caused the seal to weaken. Yet, I was still unable to break free. I continue to watch from my sealed prison as all life on the planet perished and new ones appeared.
Then one day, an egg fell from the cracked crevice above and landed safely into the Cave of Imprisonment, where I was. It was when that egg hatched that everything changed. That hatchling freed me from my prison and from my wrath and despair. He gave me what I thought would be lost to me forever… a family.
