Kalatsutsi

Kalatsutsi was a curious dragon, with an even more curious past. For starters, she was a Pearlcatcher born without a pearl, and even she cannot remember the form she had upon hatching. Though, one might not notice the absence of a true pearl immediately, since she did carry something around. At a distance, one would think she had an unusually dark pearl, though that was not especially strange due to her coloration. Upon closer inspection, though, the orb she carried was not of an opalescent hue, but translucent and a deep, rich blue. In fact, the massive sphere is actually a blue sapphire gemstone, painstakingly carved into an orb to be Kalatsutsis pearl.

A jeweler for the clan, Kalatsutsi adores all things that shine. Specializing in cutting even the hardest gemstones, the pieces she creates are truly one of a kind. She often works with Strelitzia, the metalsmith, in artistic collaborations, and the two can often be found wandering the Hewn City in the evening discussing ideas.
