Biography
CELT
Former Prince | Cunning | Driven | Protective Lapithai's mate Loyal fighter Selfless guardian Despite how closed-off he is, Celt is everything anyone could want in an ally. His cunning and loyalty to those he trusts pair excellently with his driven nature and protective instincts. If one of his loved ones is in danger he is ruthless in his protection, thinking nothing of shedding blood to ensure his family's safety. Already cunning, his skill in battle is unmatched. He has a rather grotesque sense of humor—even when faced with guts and gore, he finds an awkward joke to make about it. But even with all this in mind, Celt is a huge softy when it comes to his family, especially his mate. Those that see him express this affection are left with mouths agape. He is incredibly selfless and would sacrifice himself to protect his mate and children if he needed, and he never goes back on his word. Celt grew up as the prince of his birthclan; his mother was the queen, and his father a well-respected chieftain. They were excellent leaders, but when Celt was still learning the ropes of being a leader to their people, the territory experienced an invasion. Celt's father led their armies into battle and was killed in action. Celt's mother fell ill not long after her mate's loss. None of the medics recognized what was happening in her body. A cure wasn't found, and she died. The back-to-back losses shook Celt greatly as whispered rumors reached their tendrils through the kingdom: It was foul play, both deaths were foul play. Celt considered it, long and hard. His uncle arrived with his armies, saying, "My condolences. Your father's passing is a deep, grievous loss for both of us. Though I am still reeling, I have come to assume the throne. But Celt was the heir. Why was his uncle trying to take the throne away from him? Unless... At that moment, he knew. His uncle had planned this out. He had slain Celt's father in the heat of battle, when the turmoil veiled who delivered the chieftain's coup de grace. Then he had some servant give the queen a poison. Celt confronted his uncle, refusing to allow him to take the throne. But then, more and more of the family stood beside his uncle in support. This wasn't the work of just one dragon, but many. The enraged prince threw the first blow of the battle, managing to overpower his uncle's supporters despite the odds. Anyone there who opposed him, he put down, splattering their blood across the walls of the cavern. His uncle was not spared. A handful of dragons backed down and bowed in their willingness to accept him as their king, but Celt was so disgusted by their disloyalty to his father that he executed them then and there with his claws and teeth. Once his rage had died down just enough, Celt separated and burned all the corpses before leaving behind the caves he had called home for centuries. He wandered from place to place, avoiding territory occupied by any strong dragons if he sensed them. The solitude was fine; after all, if his father's servants turned on him, who's to say that a companion wouldn't turn on Celt himself? |
