Melipp
Future Co-Matriarch
She hesitated. She always hesitated. She had been given a choice and she needed to pick correctly. She knew she was simply in training now, but one day she would be matriarch, and she needed to always be correct once that happened. The fate of her clan depended on it. Of course she had her sister to help, but she was always too focused on stories of love and romance, an idealist rather than a realist. She usually went with whatever Melipp decided anyways.

"Plants." she decided, heartily, as her mother laughed at her. She always took a long time to decide anything be it what direction she should take, when to go to bed or in today's case, what to eat. She was indecisive, that wasn't news. But she had a future to think about and plan for, things far more important than what to eat. Besides, it's not like in this choice either option was bad, only that one was a bit more appetizing than the other.

Everything was a choice to her. She hated to admit it, but it was like a game. She was determined to win the game, and she was aware life had dealt her quite the starting hand, a lightborn dragon adopted by the matriarch of a light clan, she was perfectly suited for the task at hand. Say she was someone else, say an earthborn dragon, adopted into a shadow clan who aspired to become an arcane matriarch, now that would be much more difficult. She was privileged, she wouldn't deny that. However, she wasn't the only one born into privilege in her clan.

Nacelle was an issue for her. Another lightborn dragon, even worse a lightborn Imperial, who had high ranking position in her clan. Being the Representative, and on account of a uninterested matriarch, she predominantly ruled the clan. Melipp both hated and admired her. She was her greatest competition and inspiration. A dragon, not of matriarchal lineage ruling a clan, against the odds too, as she wasn't even born into the clan but was adopted into it. A pawn promoted to a queen. The board was beginning to have too many queens.
