Personality: Viper is a witty, overconfident dragon. Thinking himself better than everyone else, Viper can often come off as rude and insensitive. He doesn't always intend to be this way - he just doesn't think before his words, nor really care to. Viper will very commonly act like he is messing or joking just to get a rise out of another dragon. He is a risk taker, constantly embarking on challenging tasks and dangerous stunts. He strongly believes in the idea of taking chances. Yet, a deeper philosophy does spur from within him - he idealizes going with the flow and letting life run its course. He feels that life should be well experienced - even if it puts you in danger.

Background: Viper was born in the Shifting Expanse, and decided to leave as a late adolescent. The place bored him - and he preferred the idea of somewhere with a wide range of freedom. He wound up in the Sunbeam Ruins. He came across the Wildclaws Oriel and Lazarus, not long after their return to their Clan. Both were wary, but Viper managed to charm Oriel well. Lazarus wasn't amused. They brought him back and he was shown around. Being the first Ridgeback to show an interest in the group, he was quickly offered in. He accepted - but he already had other plans on his mind. He was very interested in Oriel, and began to pine away at her for the following months. He eased off when she and Lazarus became mates, but knew deep down she didn't return his undying love. Viper swooped right back in when Oriel broke away from the Wildclaw scholar. In an unlikely pair, the tribal Wildclaw was exhilarated by Viper's daring lifestyle and grew an affection to him. They became mates.

Affections: Viper is not an exception from the 'borrowing' tendency. He takes things constantly, to the annoyance of the rest of the Clan. He is a prankster too, tricking others into ridiculous acts and beliefs. He does it to attempt being funny, but no one is truly amused. He doesn't particularly have friends, besides Oriel. Even Caligo and Emilio find the Ridgeback a bit much. Aside from his subtly cruel endeavors, Viper is a kind mate and devotes a lot of his time to Oriel. They often travel together and preform excitingly dangerous acts. While the Clan setting doesn't quite suit Viper, he is happy where he is.
