“I don't think I will ever get tired of wearing pink.”
Arelya has always had a big heart and a way with words. When she was still young and looking for her place in life, she found the Astheryl clan. Knowing very little about them but finding their home and inhabitants welcoming she decided to stay. When she found out the clan's main source of income was training warriors for the Arcanist, she was disappointed only briefly. What could a dragon her size hope to do on the battle field? She had no formal training and couldn't imagine actually fighting. The solution appeared suddenly and she got to work. In no time the smart fae was promoted to PR, a position created for her specifically. As the representative for the Astheryl clan, she spends much of her time traveling around the world and helping with training as well as gathering new recruits. They're enticed by her energy and the way she frames servitude to the Arcanist. If not for Arelya, the whole clan might have been forced to wander near and far in search of new recruits. Because Arelya is amazing at her job, the clan is comfortable where they are. When a new worker entered her office, Arelya knew it was love at first sight. The loopy spiral carried a thermos of coffee in one claw and a book in the other - along with a few important office items. Arelya and Sindri bonded in the office over good coffee and good books, quickly becoming a power couple in the clan. Where the fae goes, the spiral follows. As a team they have managed to triple the work output, shaming many lightning clans that have come by to see exactly how they do it. Although being a PR is a dream job, she sometimes wishes she could be a barista and has mentioned it several times. The clan cook, Rena, has told her to stay away from the kitchen so she doesn't make a mess. Still, in her off time, Arelya tries to make special brews and has come up with several caffeinated beverages that curl the toes and frizz the ends of fur or feather. Arelya does much of the work in the clan, coming up with new ideas and trying to find the time to implement them. When things don't go quite to plan she can get depressed, but her mate is always there to pick her up and help her through it. She has a cute purple cat, Coshie, that she has had since before joining the clan. Coshie is as welcome in the clan as any dragon. Her fur is delightfully soft. Owing to her size, she can easily curl up around Arelya's neck, keeping the fae warm and offering the comfort of a purring cat while doing sometimes stressful paperwork. Arelya's time is valuable to her and she nearly plans it out to the minute. It is rare when she hasn't planned an entire day and the whole clan wonders when she's going to suddenly break out the plan book, writing down the month in advance. Often Sindri sits beside her to remind her of their time together. When the planner has been filled, Sindri makes sure to help Arelya follow the schedule as faithfully as possible. As a couple and as a work team, they are phenomenally spectacular.
