“Is he with his bees again?”

The old dragon nods. Glen has always had an affinity for the tiny little creatures, and unlike the other dragons, the Pearlcatcher had never needed protective equipment to handle bees.

“He’s too gentle for the world,” The female dragon looks at Glen with worry in her eyes. “I worry for him, when he has to leave.”

“He’ll be fine, my dear.”

“I certainly hope so.”

Glen was always a rather dreamy dragon, keeping mostly to himself and the bees he loves. His grand-sire would always tease him, but Glen knows those bees very well, and is able to identify each tiny creature by name despite the sheer numbers of them - it simply takes him a longer time each morning to greet an entire hive.

He had heard stories of a Clan, growing up. Some said it was legend, some said that he could find it if he wanted. His grandfather would always laugh, tapping Glen on the nose before telling him to look, not just with his eyes.

So as soon as he was old enough, Glen left, to the worry of his parents and the amusement of his grand-sire, to seek out this fabled clan he had heard so much of. It took him many moons, wandering with hardly any clue, and sheer luck that he found them - the bees had led him straight to a beautiful field far off shore.

At first, the dragons had worried, worried about the bees that now flitted from flower to flower. Glen took it upon himself to become the clan’s beeskeeper, and it didn’t take long for them to appreciate him and the bees. Clan Rush welcomed him, and it was there that Glen found a new home for him, and his beloved bees.
