Although the runt of the litter, Hemlock had a vast array of knowledge. Like his mother, he is an alchemist. He can brew anything one could need: poisons, medicine, concoctions that helped make one look younger, feel stronger, transform into a powerful beast, or to track others. He knew once he learned from his mother, he needed to go out and explore to find more recipes. Not only for himself, but so he could share with her mother and his grandmother.
Hemlock gave each of his siblings a potion before leaving, and told them "If we ever need to find each other, pour this into a bowl of water. It'll share our location..." and then he was the first to leave his family and his clan behind to start anew. Hemlock and his siblings decided it was time to leave Shahenor and spread their influence else where. However, whatever secrets they have learned of the clan have been kept just as that.
