Panau the Golden
Gem Keeper


Panau the Golden, so named for the care he takes in his maintaining of Clan Hathan's Collective Hoard. He's a shrewd and careful businessman, known mostly for his aloof nature. Most of his clanmates think him greedy, but older clan members know his singular attention to the clan's gold only began after his first children were lost to the Gladekeeper's service.

Before then he was known for his kindness and generosity. Now his careful accounting of clan treasure and vicious guarding of the vault hide the pain of loss he truly feels. Despite it all he's not miserable, content to help his clan achieve greater wealth and status and quick to bend to his mate Paola's every whim; he leads a relatively happy life.

His careful and exact accounting of the clan's treasure, gems, and overall hoard sometimes results in other members of the clan butting heads with him when forced to justify desired expenditures, but it's also the reason the clan enjoys relative wealth and comfort.
