Vermeil is very life-like. Her golden scales shine in sunlight, shifting as she moves and breathes. She blinks at regular intervals, and her eyes have the spark of something alive. If you speak to her, you might even get a response. Ormoulu is very proud of her.

Vermeil was created in a fit of boredom. Ormoulu spent months tweeking her skeleton, her mechanical organs, her carefully shaped scales. Coating her body in gold took an entire week, but Ormoulu is nothing if not patient.

Giving her a mind of her own ... was not his plan, originally, and it didn't quite work anyway. If you find her staring at you, it's likely that she's just overheated a bit. Don't worry about it.
