Uh-oh, looks like this butterfly catcher wandered a little too far from his home lair (#147616, Yavanna), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but he would be very grateful!

“What do you consider...” The small fae perches on a rock, studying the larger dragon in front of him. “The most valuable or important to you?”

There’s a book in his tiny hands, with pages upon pages of scribbles. Jahan clutches a tiny quill, perfect for his grasp, listening with his head cocked as the larger dragon begins to tell his story. The quill scratches over paper, and when he’s done, Jahan nods a polite smile, flitting away in search of his next butterfly... and his next story.

Jahan hails from the Southern Icefields. The Fae is a Lepidopterist, having gone into the trade after realizing just how lucrative it was, given the lack of butterflies in the Southern Icefields, and he specializes in acquiring rare butterfly specimens for the well-paying collectors who contract his service back home. His unique colours and his butterfly wings helps in his task; Jahan often appears like one of them, only bigger.

As a travelling dragon, Jahan rarely has set relationships. Instead, he interacts most frequently with the insect-catchers, and the naturalists who live in or near the areas he frequents in his search. Jahan moves from place to place regularly, always chasing the rarest butterflies, and always with that one question on his lips. It’s a question that a mysterious client had commissioned him to ask, and the Fae often returns correspondences home, along with his specimens.

For now, Jahan can be found wandering with Yavanna’s clan in the Viridian Labyrinth, with an abundance of native butterflies for him to acquire and study.
