Ismat was found as an egg in the marshes to the south of Ayuva, Lumerae Vana's capital city. Since then, she has been taken in by Aranck and adopted into the royal family.

Luckily for the rough and tumble guardian, the family is already large, and Soren had already decided to stay in the kingdom. This meant that Ismat was given free reign to do what she wanted without getting tripped up in what a princess should and should not be. Sure, she plays the role of a calm, courteous dragon well enough, but she would much rather be out wading through the swamp hunting toridae, bench pressing boulders, or fighting in tournaments and arenas.

Ismat has become close friends with the local serthis, and has inadvertently found herself as the mediator between several different sects/gangs, as well as a beastclan diplomat in general. Another side effect of Ismat's frequent association with serthis is her knowledge and practice of alchemy. She's an amateur, sure, but she is has talent, and has very, very good teachers.
