Flare came to the Depths as a hatchling, when her birth clan sent her to the Sanctuary to be raised in a safer environment. She remembers little of her old clan, not even her birth parents, but was never truly bothered by it. To Flare, the caring and loving Lolanthe is the only family she'll ever need. The Snapper raised Flare as her own, and she wouldn't have wished it any other way.

As Flare grew older, she gained a true appreciation for flight, and cherished her time outside the Sanctuary soaring over the waves. While the sea was her home, the sky was her playground. She gained quite a reputation as a daredevil.

When Peacekeeper Fathom decided to form a Scout Patrol for the Sanctuary, she named Flare as its Captain. Flare now spends her days flying through the air keeping an eye out for trouble on the horizon.

However, no matter how far or high she flies, she always has a faint feeling of...something...calling to her...watching from a far away place.
