Mate: Gael

Seref came to the Edge of the Wyld Clan with the expectation that she was going to be mated with a dragon with a very distinguished lineage (9th generation of a legacy in the Edge of the Wyld Clan), but when she arrived, he'd found another mate and Seref was left with nowhere to go. She couldn't return home to face the humiliation of being jilted and didn't have the skills to make her own way in the world.

Her resentment eventually grew to the point she was plotting to do something permanent to both her so-called prince and the female he wound up mating with. She failed in her assassination attempt and was nearly caught, but Gael, a Tundra she had only seen in passing, stepped up and gave her an alibi. She played along with his story of the events and when the court was dismissed she was cornered by him and informed that she now owed him her life.

At first she resented him more than she ever resented anything else. He was continually making her do degrading tasks like cleaning his cave, helping him bathe, and other servile tasks. Eventually she came to realize he had as much hatred and resentment boiling up in him as she did and when she confronted him on it, he just smirked at her and told her 'took you long enough'.

From that day forward, the two plan quietly for the day they'll execute a coup d'état that will leave them sitting at the top of the mountain while all the other dragons bow to their wishes.
