As the clan's peacekeeper, Auriel she uses her nature as a Light dragon to attempt to mend relationships and make peace between quarreling clanmates, or to broker peace with aggressive clans.

She embodies the neverending pursuit of knowledge, truth, and purity. She is true to her mother Flight, and her endless drive to study and learn is only rivaled by her need to share her knowledge with others. She often enjoys spending time with the clan's hatchlings, teaching them the truths of the world that is so very new to them. She and Blink, the clan's Arcane Emissary, often disagree with the method and content of the hatchlings' teachings. Auriel tries to teach the young ones to seek the known truths through scholarly research, while Blink encourages them to recklessly seek the unknown, whatever the risk.

While she is typically very agreeable, she can sometimes come across as smug or condescending. She is very much bound by an expectation to appear virtuous and good, which can bring her at odds with the less-than-honest members of the clan.

As the clan's Light Emissary, it is her duty to handle any interactions with the Lightweaver and her kind. It is a job she takes very seriously. She makes frequent trips to the Sunbeam Ruins in order to consult with those of her Flight. She often comes back laden with mighty tomes and ancient scrolls to add to her collection.

She smells sweet and musty; like the pages of the tomes she pores over.
