Displays an incredible amount of rationality and composure. Shows an ability to quickly make the correct decisions even under increasing amounts of pressure.

Will often step up to calm down disputes. Does not hesitate to draw attention onto himself when needed, but is often overlooked. Unassuming.

...» Mental Manipulation: Using magic to influence the thoughts and senses of others. In particular, Kinzokusen is skilled at using subtle commands to calm others down or persuade them onto a different school of thought.

BIOGRAPHY:

Born during Sornieth's warmest season, at first glance this Fae's personality directly contrasts his origins. All Fae's have a distinct lack of facial and tonal expression, yes, but even as a hatchling Kinzokusen had unshakable control over his body language, what most Fae communicated with.

Though he would not inherit the all-encompassing magical prowess of his father, his sharp mind and ability to recall and decipher information with a mere glance were signature traits of his mother, the Alliance's former living database.

From a young age, the Alliance considered Kinzokusen as Datapitch's successor.

Then Kei had other ideas.

Even if Kinzokusen didn't live up to the legend of his father, he was still a talented mage in his own right. His magic was just more subtle, less combat attuned, and no one knew what that kind of magic could do better than Kei. The Mirror was a dragon that valued efficiency and resourcefulness; leaving Kinzokusen as one of the clan's internal workers would be a great waste of potential.

But though he knew his own value, Kinzokusen was loyal to his mother. Datapitch was growing old and weary, and abandoning her now was something the Fae would not do. Though he trained both body and mind, it was clear he intended to remain as Datapitch's successor.

Then, from one of Kinzokusen's clutches hatched Circuit. A small Fae who was most alive in the library under her grandmother's watch, researching alongside Altayr and Reincarnation as they thought up new theories and ideas that revolutionized Sornieth as a whole.

Kinzokusen passed on his responsibilities to Circuit, and focused intently on a new role for himself. Improvements were made in leaps and bounds, his magic growing more refined and scary as he easily manipulated both his form and the actions of others.

The Alliance gained a valuable asset; a level-headed spy that could change his form at will, able to be reused over and over again, whose intelligence gathering was second to none thanks to the subtle hooks his magic embedded into the minds of others.

Kinzokusen's face displayed nothing of the tension in the air. Neither did his frills, too experienced a liar to ever give away something through such a common method.

Of course, he wasn't in his actual form. The Fae he currently was had much smaller wings than his own body, with a more purple coloring than bluish-grey.

Which was the same shape he'd taken when he'd infiltrated the Tribe of the Silver Stars.

This was on purpose, of course. Kinzokusen wasn't lazy enough to reuse the same form twice without reason.
