Thana - The Smuggler

There's no one I'd rather be than me. - Wreck it Ralph  Clan Role The Smuggler Mate: Kari Previous Mates: None Gene Wants: None Notes: A smuggler with an excellent sense of smell used for his line of work and excellent at lying. While his job isn't exactly nice, he really is a good guy. Personality If he asks if you want to do a trade, don't say yes. Thana is a master at lying without any noticeable reactions, except the occasional ear twitch. He speaks in a cool and calm voice, easing dragons into a sense of security. Usually that is the case, but if on the job Thana is rumored to have stabbed those who would get in the way. He is underneath the smuggler job a nice guy though, who loves a good joke and will lie around telling stories of his victories. Job Description Thana is a smuggler, plain and simple. He takes orders from dragons who wish to have certain items shipped, and then does it for them for a high price. He usually hides the cargo in his fluffy mane if small enough, but will take larger orders with the help from his mate Kari. Thana sometimes buys items to smuggle too, using his sense of smell to determine if it is the real thing or a fake.    |
History Hatchling His life of crime started very early. The older dragons chuckled in amusement as they watched young Thana stumble on the ground, treats falling from his fur. He had tried to hide them in his mane! The adults let him get away with it, shrugging it off as a hatchling being a hatchling. They didn't find it as funny when they found him sneaking off with their candy. The adults tried their best to stamp out this thieving behavior, and at first they thought it worked. It turned out Thana simply went to other hatchlings trying to give one object to another, and took it upon himself to be the one to "smuggle" their items, for a price. This continued for a long while, and Thana was never caught again. Adolescent His childhood crimes hardly forgotten, the hardworking dragons of the Shifting Expanse grew wary as Thana advanced from hatchling to a fledgling then a young dragon. Willing to smuggle just about anything for the right price, the young tundra often found himself with the most unusual cargo ranging from favored toys of hatchlings to familiars and food supplies for others. In time rumors began to circulate that he could sniff out a deal or those who would be vulnerable to his wiles, and like most rumors there was a grain of truth. Thana did use his sense of smell to search out deals, though more often than not it was places to hide the smuggled goods or his own payment that were being sniffed out. Knowing that the others in his home clan were beginning to pick up on his actions, Thana chose to leave to seek another place that he might be of use within the world. Search as he did, Thana's travels often left him working in his less than legal trade, carting gems and goods for beasts clans and dragons alike - always for a small fee of course. His bags grew heavy as he passed through the smallest portion of the Sunbeam Ruins and entered the Driftwood Drag of the Tangled Woods. Finding the woods full of wonderful hiding places for cargo and payment alike, Thana began to seek out a clan that might hold a position needed for a dragon of his talents. Confused and disoriented by the tangled woods seemingly shifting pathways, Thana eventually stumbled upon Sawyer, the leader of the Ryhma Temppuja who offered him a place to stay and expand his growing 'business'.
