Durion Prince of Winter and Son of Nostalion and Fanauriel A'uranae is a half breed both dark and light elf he was gifted with powerful magic. unknown to him till he had become fourteen that he had a darkness growing inside him the young elf being marked with a set of runes that spelled out what he saw to be a curse. As he grew the mark spread and so his hold on his lighter half grew weaker, by the time he came of age and met his future mate Taurion Nihtsa his hold was breaking and during the War for Vanaheim he loses himself to the darkness and fully turns into a dark elf like his father.
