Biography
Alice is a young, orphaned Plague dragon who was born into a clan that resided in the Wandering Contagion of the Scarred Wasteland. Her father could best be described as a mad scientist who wanted to use Alice as his guinea pig for various experiments. Her mother, who had been considering joining another flight as she was starting to have moral questions in regards to the Plaguebringer's death campaign, did not want to see her only child subjected to cruel torture like that. When Alice hatched, her mother took her and fled the Wandering Contagion. However, the father had realized her plan and managed to infect her with a disease just as she was departing. Alice's mother didn't let this stop her and she continued flying. However, the disease soon took effect and her entire body began to decompose and rot. She tried to hold on, she needed to get far enough away to ensure her child would be safe.
However, her energy soon depleted and she ended up crash landing in an area of the Crystalspine Reaches. Somehow, she managed to keep Alice safe from the fall, but she knew she herself wouldn't make it. By now she looked like a zombified version of herself with tendons and bones exposed and skin rotting away. Looking to her daughter, she gave her a gentle smile.
"I...I love you...Alice..." She had told her softly, finally giving her a name. "Please....Please be safe..." These were her last words before the last of her life was drained away and she closed her eyes forever.
Alice wailed and cried for her mother, begging her to come back to her. After a little bit, she snuggled herself under her mother's rotted arm and closed her eyes, hoping that maybe she'd wake up from this horrible nightmare.
She didn't know how long she had been asleep but when she was roused, she saw an older red and black guardian and a young black and sand colored tundra looking to her with worried expressions that soon melted to relief seeing her alive. They had happened upon her and her mother and had been worried that she was dead along with her. The two then tried to coax her away from her mother's corpse but Alice refused at first. She didn't want to leave her mother, even if she was dead. Plus, she still wanted to believe that it was all a dream, a nightmare. However, it was becoming more and more apparent that it wasn't and that's when the tears and sobs returned.
She soon found herself being pulled from her mother's body, to which she struggled and screamed. She still didn't want to leave her. The older dragon continued to try and soothe her, telling her that he was sure her mother would always be with her in spirit and that she must have loved her very much if she was willing to die for her. Eventually, Alice wore herself out and all the emotional stress caused her to pass out.
When she awoke, she found herself in what seemed to be a clan lair and the young tundra was there with her. He introduced himself as Giza and said that she had been welcomed into the clan by his father, Malefor. Wanting to know what would become of her mother, Alice asked him and he told her that she would be given a proper burial and that her grave would be marked by a stone and flowers. While saddened to hear that, Alice realized it would be a good way to honor her mother.
Alice spends a fair amount of time with Giza as he's still showing her around and helping her get used to the new environment. While still a little nervous, she appreciates his kindness along with the hospitality of the other clan members. She's grown to admire him a little as well since he was her first friend. She also visits her mother's grave often and will either talk to her or just lay there beside her for a few hours. Due to spending time with Giza, Alice shares his liking of collecting magenta colored rocks from around the area. She too likes ones that have a curved shape and a point at the tip but will take other shapes as well.
