______Euripides is a high-strung, energetic, free-spirited dragon. He is never not in motion, not even in sleep. Plagued by night-terrors and anxiety, he does not sleep often. Instead, he relies on remedies for rest and awakeness from the antisocial Sorrel. He spends his days flitting from place to place, papers fluttering after him, covered in research notes. Like most of Clan Sindarach's residents, he has a strong interest in the shadowed secrets of the Hewn City. His interests though are somewhat more deeply rooted.

His fascination with Eadochas began the day he arrived, bloodied and ravaged by a savage patrol on the outskirts of Sindarach land. The Wildclaw dragged himself into the camp, and he came to a shock-induced stop at the foot of the citadel. A smear of blood marked his path behind him. It had barely dried in the evening sun when he was discovered and taken to the healers.
Euripides, ever-restless Euripides, had been down at the Aurum Pools, watching as the last light of day turned the liquid golden waters the colours of the sky, a great palette of reds and oranges and purples. It reminded him of himself, he had thought.
Interrupted by the sound of breathless voices, his trance was broken and he was up and running before he could register even what the voices had said. He smelled blood. Adrenaline was close to his skin, and he was sure it was oozing from him.
He found the healers bent over a near-lifeless, shadowed body. As he made his way through, he caught glimpses of golden sheen, spattered with crimson. A sunset, a palette in its own right, he thought. How beautiful pain was to him. How strange he knew that was.
He was careful to avoid the working medics' paths to and from shelves and drawers and cabinets, carrying sharp tools and bloodied cloth. Stitches were inserted; the bleeding was staunched.
"He'll live," he heard someone say, and Euripides bowed his head as he realised Ambassador Heliadae was present. His face echoed that of the healer's, weary and burdened.

As night fell, there remained only three souls in the healer's quarters: that of the Healer himself, of Euripides, and that of the poor, resting newcomer. Much to Euripides' delight, the Healer was curled up upon a stack of medicinal journals, snoring softly. The young dragon took his chance, and approached the body lying on the stone table, also snoring softly, though a great deal more laboriously. Euripides bent to listen to the strkng beating of a new heart, a wild heart. His own increased pace until it nearly surpassed that of the other dragon's, and then slowed to match his breathing. What a strange creatures this was, he thought. His wings and belly were made of gold, and his hide was dark as twilight. He wore many a gilded adornment, including a shield and various jewels that had been removed from his body during his surgery. They sat beside him on the table, covered in blood.
"What did this to you," Euripides traced the now stitched gashes with his eyes and his mind, mumbling aloud, more of an accusation than a question.
