Apollonious is a kind soul who thinks his very mission in life is to ensure that every dragon he comes across is well-read or at least exposed to fine literature. He has taught many to read and write, and thoroughly enjoys every bit of it. Of course his good deeds don't make him rich, but that's of no consequence: his treasure-Guardian parents left him with a hefty inheritance upon their deaths. He uses his funds to buy interesting and rare books that function as his charge.

He built the library in which he calls his den into the side of a mountain, filled with wall to wall shelves stocked with meticulously organized books. The ceilings are vaulted quite high, beautifully painted by Zyrephon and Harellan, and the massive space accommodates three times as many dragons as are in the clan. Catwalks and large spiral staircases span the seven levels, reinforced for heavy dragons; rolling ladders allow smaller breeds to reach the top shelves with ease; great wood columns support each floor and add a timeless feel. The place is Apollonious' pride and joy, and visitors travel from all over Sornieth to see it. Often there are generous donations of books or funds, for which the clan is very grateful.
