Even though Atarika is a wind dragon, she has never been exceptionally fast. She has always liked to take life slow, and she was never a leader. But she has always been an optimist and always will. She sees brightness in every dark situation, and sees beauty in every flaw. She judges no dragon by their flaws, only their actions and even then she will usually understand their choice. She doesn't approve of fighting, but knows that sometimes being physical is the only way to win. Atarika is the ambassador and spokes dragon of the clan, an is the one to seal deals and peace treaties. Her kindness and understanding point of view always win her negotiators over.

The second she saw Azure on the borders of the Hewn City, Atarika knew she was in love. She sees beauty in everything, but he was like nothing else. They journeyed together through the foxfire brambles until a Niatalde patrol caught them and brought them to the camp, where they were accepted into the clan. Atarika reluctantly sends her children off to serve Mother Shadowbinder, except Driscoll who she has taken care of after Blitzkrieg rejected him. When she isn't making deals and negotiations, Atarika forages and occasionally fishes with her mate Azure, catching the most beautiful fish and giving the shiniest scales to him.
