Standing on the edge of his home, Aysel watched the other dragons go about their lives in the clan. An old memory of his first moments here came to mind.
Aysel sat on the coastline of the shaded island, gazing out into Sornieth's horizon. The light cast on his scales by the firelight was soothing to the dragon's ears, and the soft breeze in the morning breeze was welcome. The sound of water splashing in the waves was all that greeted him.
At last, at last, he found himself in peace.
"I'm home," he said with a sigh, as the sun slowly set behind the distant mountains of Dragonhome and the clouds rolled in.
He sighed again, and felt like he was going to cry. It was all so beautiful here, so very perfect.
"You're home," he said, more to himself than anyone else. He could finally put the past to rest.
