From a young age, Saina was intrigued by the stories she heard of dragons capturing mythical beings known as "princesses." Dainty and spoiled creatures with a right to rule over the land... and so respected as high authority figures to the point that claiming one as your own to eat or add to your hoard of objects was once a feat of mastery, or so they claim. Unlike many, however, she was not inspired by the tales to search out the creatures heard of in the old tales. No, she wanted much more. She desired to become a princess herself. She had heard that some legitimate princesses existed in other clans, that true monarchies had been built off hatchling fantasy. There was varying success, she was informed, in such a system, depending on how it was run. But she had no need for actual power, so much as she wanted to be a pretty figurehead. |

And so, Saina left her home in intentions to restart and give herself a chance of completing her goals. It was a difficult journey before she came to the clan of Rosehaven, frequently rejected by clans once they learnt of her lies regarding her bloodline. Any clan was welcoming to a princess, but not many were to a fake. It was her fate, it seemed, to have her secret get out. Fortunately for her, the clan of Rosehaven seemed much more accepting of the fact when it came to light. Even though she had deceived them, the clan continued to see her as a princess. On occasion, a joke or two is cracked about her heritage, but for the most part her happiness is respected over her bloodline. Some say in a sense, she's simply the start to a new generation royals. One built on determination to fulfill one's dreams, rather than power. Despite her goal to be a princess, Saina is less than charming. She's spoiled and bossy, not wanting to do things herself and only wanting the finest she can have. In addition to this, she's not especially skilled... In fact, she's incredibly clumsy, and seems to fail at most everything she tries to do. A good explanation as to how her secret got out to begin with. The rest of the clan deals with her difficult tendencies, but begrudgingly. Konpeito and Ramune in particular like to pick on the false princess, and Aer is completely unwilling to take her attitude. So despite her incompetence, Saina is expected to take care of herself so long as she lives in Rosehaven. It has it's ups and downs, but all in all, being begrudgingly somewhat true to herself is the best path. (Though she always tries to convince new dragons she really is a princess... Still...)
