Meet Avarice and Hephaestus, a 'mad scientist' duo who experimented with just about everything (including themselves) from harmless mechanisms like the Perpetuum Mobile, to gross violations of dragon rights and morals like necromancy, harvesting of souls, summoning of higher beings through sacrifices, transmutation of living and dead things, and any many, many more.

That is, until Avarice herself made a misstep and got twisted mind and body into a wraithlike creature, only rarely having phases of sanity.

Hephestus has vowed off of any further experiments except for one last project: Returning Avarice to her former self, or at least make an improvement to her current 'condition'. He managed to trap her in a mostly physical form, and in the toxic mangrove forest, he found a clan that allowed him to stay and work.

Sometimes you can catch her throwing things into her ever loyal Ravenous Cauldron as if gripped by sudden, desparate inspiration, but she never gets enough time aware to complete what she starts. 		Scary Storybook Enchanted Remains Haunting Houndskull Gold Cuffs of Alchemy
