Biography
Urnes (Vali [L]/Narfi [R])
|
Vali and Narfi, collectively known as Urnes, are the sons of Loki and Sigyn. They did not always possess their own identities though. Once, they were a skydancer, like their parents used to be. However, since the onset of the Ancient breeds and their mingling into dragon society, much has changed. Their parents are now banescales, a result of their father's abundant skill in the magic of shapeshifting, but their story is far less intentional. Vali and Narfi get along harmoniously together, but the same cannot be said for their fellow clanmates. The clan finds them to be particularly devious and unsuitable for life among the clan, however, their parents shield them from the scorn of their clan. They live on the outskirts, making mischief and taking solace in each others' company. Urnes used to be a solitary skydancer, always full of the tricks and certain kind of malicious humour that won him the scorn of the clan. However, one day he went too far, and even the good will carried by his mother, Sigyn, couldn't protect him. He lured a fellow hatchling to a remote location in the dark parts of the canyons of the Windswept Plateau, and there, what he thought (and indeed meant) to be a prank ended in the hatchling's death. For this, he was cast out, and sent to wander the lands in penance. Being too curious for his own good, one day, he discovered a particularly deep crevice, emanating a soft green light, and what he thought was the sound of a gentle voice. He was in the Scarred Wasteland, and so far, the denizens of the region had been kind enough to him, but he knew the tales of the devilry that could be found in the wastes. And so, cautiously, he edged closer, and as he peeked over the edge of a yawning crevice, something snatched him roughly from the edge, and in an instant, he was unconscious. --The next sensation they were aware of, was the sense of being...whole. Whole in a way they never had been before, because... There. A bright pair of glowing green eyes staring back. A reflection? No, he hadn't blinked. The horns weren't his, skydancers don't have horns, at least not like that. You are not alone. The grin beside him matched his, tooth for jagged tooth, and now, they'd never have to be alone again. "I hope you still love us, mother." |
