"lord gaoler" rang out into the darkness.

i perked up 'a visitor?' i wondered as i made my way to the antechamber

taking a deep inhale i took in their scent; ahh they return once more "Blood,Pain,terror." i heard them shiver "you return once more what do you ask of me?"

"i require one of your specimens" they called out trying to locate me in the gloom

"what kind do you desire and what will you give me for it" i whispered from behind them

"i need a fleshcrafted imperial"they said as they turned around to try and find me

"oh? such a rare specimen and what do you have to trade me" i said from directly in front of them

"i bring you a serthis skilled in tectonic magic" they spoke to me while pulling a block of enchanted ice containing the specimen from a bag

"oh hoho i have wanted to study their magic for quite some time we have a deal wait while i retreive your sample

i strode through the caves around me cutting back and going down in a design specifically made to deter interlopers past walls filled with all manner of samples all frozen in a lovely metastable ice i designed long ago and tucked into holes in the wall.

down and down and down even more i went to the truly old samples
before i came upon a massive specimen an ancient female imperial coiled in what looked like a deep sleep 'and wasnt it hard getting her down here' i thought to myself as i opened a path through the massive ice block to reach their tail

with a force of will and magic i formed a blade of ice from the wall to excise a sample from the side of her tail the blades supernaturally sharp blade sliding through hide and flesh until the part i would make into a sample gently slid to the ground

i warped the ice around it to cover the specimen and closed the ice path behind me

making my way back up i came upon the only part of my compound visitors could access where the drake was waiting

"here it is" i said as i emerged from the shadow "a specimen of fleshcrafted imperial taken from the progenitor of the Luminax bloodline,now begone i desire to study this new serthis you have brought me" i said passing him the sample and sliding back through the shadows into the caves
