She was wild. Too wild for a clan of scientists and entertainers. She would roam for days as a child, determined to grow stronger and stronger, but her clan didn't understand. Eventually she grew tired of their attempts to tame her, and she ran away to hone her skills as a fighter. To do this, she traveled all the way to Plague territory and fought underneath Rift, a fierce Plague warrior who taught her the ways of claw and tooth. After many years training with his group of Wildclaws, she parted ways and set out to make her way in the world as a mercenary for hire. Unlike many mercenaries, she wasn't just in it for the money, she only took clients she thought were worthy of her protection, and she gained quite the reputation of a talented and honorable mercenary. Because of this, she was approached by the high council of the Arcane Flight, known as the Celestial Senate. They wanted her to accompany and protect one of their researchers while he studied the unique magic that was forming by the Ice Flight border. It was to be a long term assignment, but the pay was good, so she agreed.

She stayed by him for months on end, and at first she refused to speak or interact with the scientist Coatl, seeing him as nothing more than a job. After a while, the boredom got the better of her and she began to talk with the strange dragon. He was clumsy and forgetful, but brilliant and creative, and she couldn't help but fall in love with him. Little did she know, the researcher also had a crush on the passionate Wildclaw. The two immediately consumated their relationship, and she vowed to stay by him and protect him for the rest of her days. Together they traveled all around the Starfall Isles, recording and analyzing data. The peace was soon shattered with the Battle of the Bay, a disastrous and bloody battle that tore through the Arcane lands. In the chaos, she lost Aow and even once the fighting ceased, she could not locate him at all. For years, she did everything she could to find him, and after four years, she found him living in a small Fire clan. He couldn't remember who he was or how he got there, and worst of all, he couldn't remember who Wela was. She was heartbroken, but she vowed to protect him and that was what she would do, whether he remembered her or not. Immediately, Wela settled into the clan and became a defender. She works closely with Bellus, Amphitrite, and Varuna, fighting and protecting the clan alongside the three of them. When she isn't fighting or training, she stays by Aow's side, trying to jog his memory. He swears he doesn't know who she is, but she can see the love in his eyes. Deep down, she knows the love they shared is still there, or at least that's what she had hoped. Her aspirations were crushed once another Wildclaw joined the clan, this one coming from the Arcane lands that Aow once called home. Without any regard to Wela's feelings, this new dragon courted Aow and stole her right from Wela's arms all over again. Still, Wela is bound not just by love, but by honor and duty, and she will not rest until Aow's memories are recovered. After he is healed though, it is time for her to move on and perhaps find another love.

After She left the Clan where her 'for now lost' love lives, she somehow ended up at the lands of the Shadowbinder. There she found a Clan of Dragons that didn't quite fit in with others. They were strange but they welcomed her with open arms.
Wela could never forget about Aow but she knew she couldn't do anything about it.. so she stayed with that strange Clan of outcasts to train alongside their Warriors. She wouldn't stay forever, just for awhile. At least, that's what she thought. But years past, without her ever leaving. Besides, there was this Witch, who wasn't Part of her Clan but she had her hut near them. She reminded Wela of Aow, so she'd watch over her without ever showing her presence. But sometimes she'd come very close. So close in fact that she wasn't always sure if the Witch noticed her or not. What she knew however, she liked her a lot.
