Biography
Laralox
the merry crafter, the insect keeper, the light with a hidden dark place
When Laralox was very young, she lived in a sprawling, rusted mining town whose buildings clung to the desert mesas and tunneled down mineshafts. The inhabitants burrowed deep into the earth to rip out its precious bones and veins. So greedy and thorough were they that their tunnels honeycombed the stone into a froth of rock. The clangs of the smithies and rattles of gears were her lullabies, the packed, hot dirt in the alleyways her bed.
Skydiver, another small dragon with big dreams and no home, shared his shelter with her one rainy afternoon, in an act of utterly foreign kindness. He wove her tales of a world of airships and kite platforms, light and delicate communities suspended in the sky, and she was enchanted. They were forced to part ways when Skydiver's family moved, but Laralox kept her memories of him and his stories of airy sky-worlds close to her heart.
Now her dreams have come true. She dwells in the great beyond, now, on the fringes of the sky. And she wouldn't trade it for anything.
She is an excitable dreamer with a deep love for honey, a trader, a crafter. Her nest is tented with fabric, woven with shiny bits and broken necklaces in a bedraggled but exotic canopy, her world a mess of sky and silk and quartz, all tangled up in a laughing, beautiful jumble.
The only dark scratch in her joyful soul was etched out by a young dragoness by the name of Martinette. She stole Skydiver's heart. Laralox loves Skydiver powerfully, and now she can never have him.
