Magus is an old dragon, and he is fully aware of this. He has been around a long time and has seen many things, many places, and many dragons of all natures. Despite some of the things he's witnessed being tragedies, he chooses to not let this affect him. Instead, he makes an active effort to remain light-natured and jovial to the best of his ability as long as the situation calls for it. This certainly doesn't mean he is incapable of being serious and genuine if needed.

Once, in his younger years, he was a sellsword. A sellsword with morals, but one nonetheless- And he was good at his duties. Though he is on in his years nowadays, he is very much still capable with his weaponry. Many different weapons are tucked and hidden amongst the layers upon layers that hid a majority of his hide. His hide, which is crisscrossed with multitudes of scars-

Now, he mainly rests in the main caverns of Ghost's Edge, telling stories to the younger dragons brave enough to march up to him and ask. Maybe he doesn't show it openly, but it makes him truly happy to pass along his past experience with the younger generation.
