After he traveled for a bit, he came upon a clan led by the fierce Xyrlove, despite her unsettling appearance she welcomed him warmly, Xyrlove showed him around and helped him get settled, despite being disabled she treated him the same, almost like a son.

Born as the son of a great Frost Warden, Yaer was in constant contact with the prisoners. He trained under his father as a warden during his hatchling years in order to carry on his family's lineage. Throughout his training he came into contact with the prisoners constantly, making his susceptible to all the diseases they had. It started with being unable to speak and worsened, making him a mute and losing his abilities to fly and use his right, and dominant, arm. The shade took away what he depended on the most and made him unable to function inside the ward. Disgraced, his father cast him out of the Southern Icefields and to the realm of the Shadowbinder. He moved from clan to clan by foot until he reached the Clan of the Sentient. They gave him a home in the Blackstone fort where he could rest until he regained his strength. Due to his inability to care for himself, Artemis began to take care of him during her spare time and without Arachne. With her help, Yaer is able to participate in the shade community. |

When he could speak he was a very unmovable dragon. Determined and growing colder more and more his father was immensely proud of Yaer. After the shade took root, he become dependent and depressed with his independence being taken away. Those feelings struck even more during his travels and almost killed him. After arriving at his current clan, he became dependent on Artemis and opened up a little bit more to others. Now that she's gone, he struggles to survive on his own and has condemned himself to a life of solitude on the edge of the Blackfort's territory.
