Biography
After Kage discovered a replacement representative for the Plague element, Filigree began her search for a new Fire representative. After many weeks of searching she finally discovered the one she was searching for.
She had been searching the boarders of Wind and Fire, reveling in the warm breezes as the wind rushed over the rivers of lava. From a copse of smoldering brushes Filigree heard a curious humming trill. A coal dark coatl hatchling, with beautiful orange petal markings, stared up at her from the edges of her nest. In Filigree's mind it was as if a beam of light shone down on the little female. Without even waiting to consult Xochiquetzal about the price the other clan was offering for letting this hatchling go, Filigree snatched up a hefty pouch of diamonds and paid the Fire clan.
Thankfully, when Filigree came home with the hatchling snuggled into the feathers on her shoulders, Xochi was not bothered by the drain on the hoard.
"Does she have a name yet?" Was all that the kind matriarch asked. She often deferred to the wisdom of the older Filigree and did not see to question her choice of an apprentice.
"Not yet." Filigree considered her new ward. The little female was sleepy contentedly, her warm body heating Filigree's shoulders. "Tlexictli, because a fire burns in her belly."
Xochi smiled and nodded. "Then she is welcome here."
Since her welcome to the clan, Tlexictli began her training as a diplomat and representative of the Fire element. Oddly enough, as a hatchling she immediately attached herself to Filigree's other ward, Zira. Her soot and flame colored plumage marking her as another "dark wing" even though she sported color and bold markings that the others did not.
Her favorite pass-times are to visit with Tlanextli, another fire oriented coatl, and learn his trade of engineering useful contraptions for the clan. She is quickly developing a passion for welding and blacksmithing as is common to a true Fire-native.
