Mira is a historian. She knows much about Sornieth's history, but her expertise is the "current history." And by that she means the present. She's almost always away somewhere watching history happen and writing about it. Not many mind that she's away all the time. Mira isn't the most pleasant of dragons. Mira can be incredibly selfish and greedy at times. She has two identical sisters and another who was almost, so when she was young (and a nocturne) her parents had trouble telling them apart. They didn't know what they'd given to who, so Mira had to be quick and grabby if she ever wanted to get a share of anything. It's also why she's paranoid about dragons touching or taking her stuff. She always locks up her stuff or takes it with her. Her pearl never leaves her. It's her most treasured possession and is slightly larger than normal due to how often she grows it despite her late start. Few even know that she used to be a nocturne. She has very few habits from then: she likes night more than day(but not by that much) and can mimic almost anyone's voice perfectly. Out of the few that know she was once a nocturne, none of them know how she became a pearlcatcher—and she'd never be willing to tell them either. Truthfully, she stole it. It wasn't hard as the seller was bartering with another dragon over another enchanted scroll. Mira is a coward—even before changing into a pearlcatcher. Not a complete one, mind you, but still one. As long as there's no fight brewing, she can be pretty confident. But at the slightest hint of pain or blood Mira will flee without a glance back. The only one she'd endure pain for is her bird, Faithful, who has been with her since hatchlinghood. Faithful was the only one who always knew which nocturne she was, and the only one who really seemed to care about her. |
